Upper & Lower Deardengate in the centre of Haslingden are home to many independent shops, and are well-known for both traditional and contemporary eateries.

The lively town centre hosts popular establishments, like Room Deardengate and the Deardengate Victorian Tea Rooms, plus a little further down the road, the famous Cissy Greens bakery. There are activities throughout the year, with the annual street fair held in August.

Haslingden Market is situated in the town centre, close to the junction of Deardengate / Manchester Road / Blackburn Road. The market offers free parking, is easily accessible, and has public toilets.

The market and public toilets are currently undergoing regeneration works, and will be re-opening in Summer 2024. The market will be temporarily closed during Spring 2024 whilst these works take place. Information regarding opening days and hours, and the traders on the market will be made available in the coming months.

Keep an eye on Rossendale Borough Council social media for updates. If you are interested in becoming a market trader, please contact markets@rossendalebc.gov.uk.

A CGI image of how Haslingden Market will look once regeneration works are complete in Summer 2024. There's a new gate, a sheltered seating area, and a lot more colour, light and vibrancy to the market compared to before.
