East Lancashire Railway

The East Lancashire Railway brings generations together as family members of all ages can experience this heritage railway as it journeys through Rossendale.

This steam powered railway has transported residents, visitors and goods wherever they may need for nearly 200 years.

Running for 12 miles, the line crosses the landscape though rural villages and well-preserved Victorian towns – with each station offering something unique to enhance the overall experience for passengers.

The terminus in Rawtenstall is the start of a new journey as visitors can shop on Bank St and Rawtenstall Market or visit one of the many other attractions located in the town.
