Sykeside Country House Hotel & The Riding’s Restaurant

The Sykeside Country House Hotel and The Riding’s Restaurant is set in the centre of the Rossendale Valley. The privately owned family run hotel, is a traditional building that still possesses many of its original features from 1883 when the hotel was originally built as a former mill owners’ home.

Renovations began in 1989 to transform the home, which has housed many influential figures such as the late composer Alan Rawsthorne (composer of the theme tune to The Cruel Sea), to become the hotel and restaurant it is today.

The hotel aims to provide the best quality of service and comfort to guarantee a satisfying and enjoyable stay.
